UPDATE: When I printed the Area Approval certificate that we have displayed in the Tharwa club room I inadvertently printed the old certificate. I wanted to assure everyone that we do have a current area approval for a flying height of 1500ft AGL and I will update the certificate displayed in the club room.
Hi everyone, our area approval for a 1500ft AGL max flying height at Tharwa has been renewed through to 11 Feb 2027. The conditions associated with the area approval remain the same so if you fly above 1000ft AGL there must be an observer next to the pilot to check for full size aircraft entering the model flying area. If aircraft do enter the model flying area you must land immediately.
