Berkeley Brigidier

Do you enjoy fine sunny weather? A relaxing pastime where you can enjoy the beautiful outdoors? Nostalgia? Building stuff? Then maybe building and flying an oldtimer plane is for you. Here we present a bit of a howto that walks through building the Berkeley Brigidier an oldtimer (originally free flight but now converted to RC) dates from around 1940. The Brigidier was originally kitted in 1940 and the plan is now available on Outerzone (https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=8964) in various sizes and versions.

This developing page will follow a club build of the version published in 1977 in Model Airplane News in an article by Doc Matthews. The club build will differ from the plan based on the vast building experience of Allan and Frank. The IC power comes from Enya 19. To start the story you can read the MAN article and download the plan.
