I’ve really enjoyed making and flying 3D printed planes, but I’m thinking about making a balsa plane for a change.
Was wondering if anyone has an unused balsa kit hanging around in their garage/storeroom that’s not wanted anymore? I’m happy to pay a fair price.
Alternatively, can anyone recommend a good supplier of balsa kits? I’m thinking about some sort of biplane with a decent wingspan (1-2m), powered by an electric motor.
Balsa kits are becoming an endangered species. You could check out RC Trader website or Hobby Headquarters in Sydney.
Have a Piper Cub kit electric or glow .46 ot .60fs size. Bought in a moment of rashness, excellent kit.
Get in contact.
Regards from Frank.
Thanks Frank. Have sent you a PM.
Hi Jeremy, some more info, came from Hobbyworld close to Sutherland in Sydney south.
Span 1720mm area 42dm2 length 1095.
Not surprising any other balsa kits are not in stock, HK kits I have had all seemed to be missing something, but their covering is excellent, ask Fred.
Tried to read PM cannot manage to work it, old I guess.
Regards from Franklin.
Thanks for the info Fred. Have looked at both sites. Most of HH planes seem to be out of stock at the moment.
