Don Rann has advised that he has removed the weather station head unit, black box and phone for home maintenance.
“The rain sensor tipper is prone to fouling with debris, so I will take the lid off and clean it. I will also apply some firmware changes to the “black box”.”
“I am hoping to get rainfall reporting working. I am also hoping to replace the troublesome Android OWS Bluetooth app with a direct data feed to the Wunderground server using the mobile phone hotspot capability. I have done as much offline testing as I can without the head unit.”
