The weatherstation that Don has been working on for Tharwa Field is now back online. In Don’s words:
I am pleased to report that I have installed the ex-NAAS Davis Vantage Vue unit at the field. The internet address for user access has not changed.
The black-box interface in the shed is substantially the same as previous, except a 900mhz receiver has been added to collect the standard Davis weather data from the head-unit. The black-box has a microprocessor that re-formats the Davis data, adds barometric data and sends it to the android phone via Bluetooth. The android phone runs a free “Open Weather Station” app which forwards the data to the “Weather Underground” site for user access.
