To continue with the theme of lockdown projects started by Greg and Ray, I’ve been working on two new 3D printed planes, both of which are ready for their maiden flights.
One is the Rise, published by Planeprint – https://www.planeprint.com/rise. It’s a 2.05m wingspan V-tail glider, with a spoiler in the centre of the wings. It was printed with LW PLA, and has an AUW of about 750g, so I’m hoping it should thermal OK.
The other plane is the Model A from Eclipson – https://www.eclipson-airplanes.com/modela. It’s a 1m wingspan plane also printed with LW PLA, with an AUW of about 485g.
Now that these are ready, I have another two to start printing, again from Planeprint and Eclipson. These are the Ziggy, a small 420mm wingspan biplane (https://www.planeprint.com/ziggy), and the Pitts S12, a 1.25m wingspan biplane (https://www.eclipson-airplanes.com/pitts12).
But first, I need to finish building my new music studio, so I can access my 3D printer. At the moment it’s stuck behind all the floor and roof panels for the studio! (more images can be found on my studio Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/canberra.piano.lessons).
Hey Jeremy – what do you do in your spare time ??????
Spare time…….what’s that?
