Spektrum DX8 Firmware Updates – List of Features and Corrections.
The following list details features and corrections as implemented with each firmware release for the Spektrum DX8 transmitter. Some of the listed corrections seem to correspond to some issues club members have experienced (suffered).
Please note that as of May 2013, I have updated my and three other DX8s to vers: 3.00, used mine on all models and observed others use their DX8 (post update) with no noted ill effect.
Recommendations:
- Update your DX8 firmware to current release. http://www.spektrumrc.com/MyAccount/Login.aspx
- Store your SD memory card in the transmitter to minimise the risk of unwanted material entering the case or fowling the cards contacts
- Export all model memories to the SD card after each days’ flying to ensure you have a backup of settings and recent changes.

Have now used this version for some four weeks on all of my fixed wing models that use a wide variety of Spektrum compatiable receivers and different voltage receiver battery packs. Outcome: No adverse effects! All models settings remained OK, no binding/re-binding necessary – all good…
