Harder than it looks …

So I designed (?) and built a bomb drop mechanism for my BrikStik and thought “how hard can it be?” but when the rubber hits the road you find out that it’s harder than it looks …

So for my last 8 or so flights with BrikStik I’ve been trying to hit a target on the strip at Tharwa and for most of my efforts I’ve been happy to get my “bomb” on the strip (mostly they’ve been off the strip on the far side from the flight box – depth perception problems maybe??) and I’m not the only one, Greg and Glen have found it similarly difficult. But Tuesday some (limited) success – my bomb drop was on the strip, almost level with the target and about 4m off to the side!

Was it skill or luck? I think anyone who saw my flying on Tuesday will be saying “blind luck”, definitely after my demo of some very dodgy aerobatics.
