We had a good day’s flying on Wednesday. The conditions were great, other than a very wet and soggy strip.
Neil’s new Piper Cub looked great, and Ray had a really long flight on excellent thermals.
I haven’t flown since March, and it was good to be back.
Here’s a couple of videos of Neil’s Cub:
Good to see you back Jeremy. Neil should be pleased with the Cub.
Thanks Fred. I’ve got a new 3D printer, and there’s a few new planes waiting to be printed and assembled.
I also invested in a new transmitter last week (a Radiomaster TX16S MkII, running Edge TX). This comes as mode 2, so I’ve decided to switch from mode 1 to mode 2 flying (…not sure exactly why…mostly for the challenge).
Was out at the club yesterday, and other than the first flight (user error, as I had the ailerons around the wrong way), mode 2 flying with the new transmitter went really well.
I reckon that changing modes would not be easy for me, although I do use mode 2 on my indoor helicopter. Hope to see you out there when the weather improves.
