A few pics from yesterdays brave souls who ventured out to Tharwa for some flying. It started off very grey and cold but the sun came out a bit after 11am to make for great flying with blue skies, warm sun and a gentle breeze.
A special mention for Clem who was flying his Easy 15 designed by Peter Harding with a few mods by Clem mainly to the rear stabilizer and fin. The wings are foam and covered with brown paper doped with watered down pva. The engine is an OS15. Clem cut the wings on his home built gravity powered foam cutter (the design was stolen from the interenet).
Jeremy was flying some of his micro balsa models with 1S 160mah battery. Flight times are up to 10 minutes.
Nice photos Neil
my maiden of the easy fifteen was a success and dons bungee launch was also a success it will probably make our chief resident TOSSER redundant ðŸ¤ðŸ¤« ,Jeremy,s collection of planes , shapes and sizes is a sight to see, that little by-plane was a buzz
It was a great day. Thanks for the photos Neil!
Clem’s new plane was very impressive.
I haven’t flown my micro planes in over a year. I’ve recently got them all ready to fly again (on a separate TX dedicated to the micros), and am planning to fly them all again.
Just one small correction….the plane shown flies for about 10min with a 260-300mAh battery.
