It has been a while since I was out at the Tharwa field. This morning’s conditions was one that could not be let pass by.
Members of Lake George Soaring League are unable to use the lake area for flying at present as the area has turned into a err, lake.
For the short term some of their members will (occasionally) be flying at Tharwa.
Please make them feel welcome at our field.

Had a great morning today…..maidened two more 3D printed planes.
Both are from Planeprint (aka Rene Marschall in Austria) whose designs are improving with each model. The two metre glider is called the Foka, and it flew beautifully. Launches and landings were excellent.
The little biplane is called Ziggy, and after a bit of trimming, it was a blast to fly. The great thing about this little plane is how little material it needs to print it, and how quickly it printed. It takes away a lot of the stress of a maiden knowing that even in the event of a crash, you can head home and click CTRL+P and have another one in a day or so!
