Hi all , took the flight box off the container wth the help of Geoff person and Geoff wade (joker Geoff) it was heavy, I was Lucky they were there to help, the key box is attached to the side of the container and the key board is attached to the door inside the container the two small fire extinguishers are inside the container also. The flight box itself wasn’t worth repairing it was rotten and to spend money on it to bring it up to some sort of reasonable state in my opinion would be a waste of my time and the clubs money, so I took it to the Mitchell transfer station on the way home and got it in for no cost to the club.
I will design a box to take the two extinguishers first aid box and the defibrillates with the help of a resident who is a cabinetmaker or we teach the members how to lock the container up properly. According to the MAAA RULES( Insurance ) you must have a fire extinguisher at the flight box ready to go in case a plane crashers (mainly electric) and starts a fire so in my opinion the first one to the field opens the container and the last one to leave shuts it, I have been told by a couple of members it’s to hard to shut the door there is always two or three members left to put the fence up and make sure everything is done so get some assistance from your fellow member to help shut it before they leave it’s that simple I will wait till we get the defibrillate to to make the box
