Bungee Prop – videos

Got some videos of the Bungee Prop flying today.

After the last video, I changed from a 3S setup (370mAh, 8×4 prop), to a 2S setup, using a 470mAh battery and 9×5 prop. Flight seemed very similar to the 3S setup.

One thing I did change as well was to add some more elevator uptrim (a few mm). Slow flying was even better. I took it up high and it took a long time to glide back for a landing.

  1. Thanks Fred. I agree…I think the biggest problem might be getting it back down!
LW PLA only comes in white and black (I only have the white). But it accepts acrylic paint very well. I use the $1 tubes from Aldi, and they are excellent. One coat is usually enough. I expect spray paints would work well on it too.
I’ll hopefully be painting some markings on the wing and vert stab today.

  2. Hi Jeremy
Thanks for sharing this, the glider looks great and pretty easy to fly.
By the way, where are you doing the flying?
    Regards, Trevor

  3. Thanks Trevor. You’re right….the plane is very easy to fly (and land). I think with the right TX mixing of elevator to rudder you could fly it quite comfortably with one stick.
The oval is called Stirling Oval No. 2, off Teesdale Pl. in Stirling (https://goo.gl/maps/cnvvXNdJ4DzJH82L7). It’s not big, but it’s surrounded by other ovals, so works well for not flying over houses.
