A Last Flight For 2021?

Thursday 30 Dec at Tharwa was a perfect day for flying and Clem had his SE5A out for an airing. After a lengthy setup (landing gear, 2 wings, 8 struts) and some engine tuning the SE5A took to the air and looked completely at home.

  1. Good to see the old girl up in the air again. Good flight Clem and I sure you did that twitch of the aileron just before landing just for dramatic effect to excite the watchers. Will be out at the field possibly next weekend Covid permitting.

  2. Good on you Clem, great to see you flying the SE5A again, but hopefully not the last flight. Well done and thanks for the flight video.

  3. Hi Ray,
Yes I made the video of Clem’s SE5, happy to make one of you flying one of your gliders. It will probably be a good idea to have a bit of a chat beforehand to do some planning because gliders usually fly much higher and are therefore much smaller in a video. Maybe we can chat at the BBQ if the weather holds off.
